I haven’t been hiding from you guys, really. I think I’ve only had my picture taken maybe ten times since the boys were born and usually it’s a very unflattering picture of my backside. LOL. Anyway, I’ve been planning on doing a post about my trip to Uganda after I get the next round of dissertation deadlines finished. It was an amazing, life-changing trip. I’m so glad I took the leap of faith and went. I did okay on my diet (kept it low to medium oxalate most of the time with a few higher oxalate treats), but sometimes I just had to let it go and trust things would work out okay. I had a few flare-ups, but nothing unmanageable and nothing that didn’t resolve after a month of really being good when I got home! I hope when you are feeling better, you too will take that leap of faith and try.
Take care,
Heidi

Looks like your trip to Uganda was fabulous. I’d like to know more about how you managed your low oxalate diet while traveling. I’d like to travel again sometime, but I’m a little nervous.

It was so yummy. I doubled the cayenne pepper because we both like spicy foods, and it wasn’t too spicy. It was really good.
Thank you for your posts.
